Help Gabe get to south africa!
You can never go wrong when you set aside time to study God’s Word, whether it’s five minutes, or maybe it’s nine months! My plan is to do the latter.
My desire is to know more of God’s heart and His plans for us as recorded in the Bible. The more I read God’s Word, the more I live it out in how I think, speak, and act. God has given me the gift of writing and that is what I will be pursuing after this school. I have experienced the impact of reading the Bible daily in my life, but I want to be able to understand it completely (lineage, geography, history, etc.). A School of Biblical Studies will consist of nine months of reading the Bible five times, front to back, while writing my own commentary on it.
To be honest, doing a SBS was not what I had in mind post-DTS (Discipleship Training School), but by following through with it I am living out of God’s plans for my life, and not my own. What I feel that God has shared with me will not only impact my life, but it has the power to impact the lives of those around me as well.
I never thought I would be an author, but God wants me to use what I learn during my SBS as a foundation for my writing and the other opportunities that will come from it in the future.
By doing my school in South Africa, I will have the opportunity to experience yet another way of living and I can grow tremendously more in my relationship with God by going to new places, learning new languages, and experiencing a new culture.
I would love to have you come alongside me, whether it be prayerfully or financially, and have you be a part of the next chapter in my life story!
